Getting started
What will lighting my Stockbridge house run me?
Most jobs land between $8 and $15 per linear foot of roofline, installed. The final number depends on how tall and steep the roof is, how many peaks and dormers it has, and whether you want trees, wreaths or ground lighting on top. Send your address or call and we will put an exact figure on it.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. We carry insurance and are bonded, so you are covered while we are on your roof and around your landscaping.
Do I need to buy the lights?
No. We bring the lights, clips and cords, and they stay ours. Your price covers the lights, the hanging, the takedown and the storage.
Who takes the lights down in January?
We do, and it is already in your price. We pick a takedown window with you, pull everything off the house and haul it away. You never have to find a ladder.
A strand quits working mid-season. Now what?
Give us a call or a text and we will come out and repair it. Those visits are covered by your original price.
When should I book?
Sooner is better. Our fall calendar fills in week by week, and early requests get the dates they ask for.
Do you light businesses and HOA entrances too?
Yes. We do storefronts, offices, restaurants, shopping center signs, neighborhood entrances and clubhouses, and we can work around business hours.
Which areas near Stockbridge do you cover?
Stockbridge plus Jonesboro, Ellenwood, Morrow, Lovejoy and Conyers. If you are close to one of those and not listed, call us and ask.
How much does it cost to hang Christmas lights on a house in Stockbridge?
Most Stockbridge homes are priced at $8 to $15 per linear foot of roofline. A typical front roofline is a few dozen feet to well over a hundred, so the total depends on the size of your house. Send your address for an exact figure.
Is it worth hiring a professional to hang Christmas lights?
For most people, yes. Hiring us means no ladders, no tangled strands, no buying lights and no storage. The price covers hanging, repairs, takedown and storage, so the only thing left for you to do is turn them on.
What is the best time to put up Christmas lights in Georgia?
Plenty of Stockbridge homeowners want lights on before Thanksgiving, and fall is also a comfortable time to work on a roof. Tell us the date you want them lit and we will schedule backward from it.
Do you offer a free estimate for Christmas lights near Stockbridge?
Yes. Estimates are free. Call, text or send the form with your address and what you would like lit.
Do you do both residential and commercial Christmas lighting?
Yes. We light homes, storefronts, offices, plazas and HOA entrances, and each has its own page on this site with details.
Can I see examples of your Christmas light installs?
Yes. Our work page shows real jobs from Stockbridge and nearby towns, including roofline lighting, wrapped trees, wreaths and commercial displays.
How do I get in touch the fastest?
Text or call 470-706-3375. We answer every day between 7 AM and 9 PM.
About us
How long have you been in business?
Three years, and we have lit more than 250 homes in that time.
Is Stockbridge Christmas Light Installation locally run?
Yes. We work in the neighborhoods around Stockbridge, so a service call means a short drive, not a long one.
How can I reach you?
Phone or text 470-706-3375, email info@stockbridgechristmaslights.com, or use the form on the quote page. Someone is available daily, 7 AM to 9 PM.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are insured and bonded. Ask us if you need proof for your records.
What areas do you serve besides Stockbridge?
Jonesboro, Ellenwood, Morrow, Lovejoy and Conyers. Our areas page has more detail.
Home installs
Can you light a two-story house?
Yes. Two-story homes are a big part of our work. We use the right equipment for the height, and we always look at the roof pitch as well, because a steep roof is harder to work on than a tall, gentle one.
Will the lights damage my shingles or gutters?
No. We attach the lights with clips made for shingles, gutters and fascia, so there are no nails through your roof and nothing that leaves a mark when the lights come down.
Can you wrap trees and shrubs?
Yes. We wrap trunks and larger limbs, outline shrubs and add wreaths. Trees are priced by size, so send a photo if you want a firm number.
What colors can I choose?
Warm white is what most Stockbridge homeowners pick, but we also do cool white, red, green, blue and mixed colors. Tell us the look you want and we will match it to your house.
Do you do timers or remote control?
We can set your lights on a timer so they come on at dusk and shut off at the hour you choose. Ask us about it when you request your quote.
How long does installation take?
A typical home is done in a single visit. Larger houses and jobs with lots of trees or ground lighting can take longer, and we will tell you before we start.
Do I have to be home?
Not usually. We just need access to the outside of the house and the outlet you want the lights plugged into. We will message you when we arrive and when we are done.
Can I add more lights in a later year?
Yes. We keep your layout on file, so a new section, another tree or a wreath can be added whenever you like.
Do you offer yearly service for returning customers?
Yes. Plenty of our customers keep the same design from year to year. We hang it, maintain it, take it down and store it, and you do not have to think about it.
How much does it cost to put Christmas lights on a two-story house?
Two-story houses usually sit in the middle to upper part of our $8 to $15 per foot range, since the height requires bigger equipment and more setup time. A steep roof pushes the rate higher still.
Do you hang lights on brick, vinyl siding or stucco homes?
Yes. We attach lights to the roof edge, gutters and fascia with clips, so the wall material is not a problem. Tell us if your house has anything unusual about its trim.
Can you put Christmas lights on a gutter?
Yes. Gutter clips are one of the most common ways we attach roofline lights. We check that the gutter is sound before we hang anything on it.
Can you wrap small trees as well as large ones?
Yes. We wrap small ornamental trees, tall evergreens and everything in between. Pricing depends on the size, so send a photo for a number.
Do you hang icicle lights or window frame lights?
Ask us about the look you want when you request your quote. We will tell you what works on your house and price it with the rest of the job.
What if I do not have an outdoor outlet?
Let us know when you request a quote. We will look at your options and plan the cord runs before installation day.
Can you match my neighbor's style or make mine stand out?
Either. Some customers want a classic warm white look that blends in. Others want a bolder display. Tell us what you picture.
How long do the lights stay up?
Through the holidays. We take them down in early January unless you ask for a different date.
Who pays for replacement bulbs or broken strands?
We do. Because the lights belong to us and in-season fixes are part of your package, you are not billed for repairs.
Business properties
Can you install lights after hours so we stay open?
Yes. Early mornings, evenings and staged installs keep ladders away from your customers.
What kinds of businesses do you light?
Restaurants, retail storefronts, offices, medical and professional buildings, plazas and shopping centers. If it has a roofline, a sign or a front entrance, we can light it.
Do you handle large or multi-building properties?
Yes. We can plan a property in phases, light every building to a common look and keep one point of contact for the whole job.
Can the lights match our brand colors?
Yes. Red for a restaurant, green and white for an office, your own colors for a storefront. We will talk through options with you before we order or hang anything.
Is your work insured for commercial properties?
We are insured and bonded. If your landlord or property manager wants proof, ask and we will send it.
Who maintains the lights during the season?
We do. A dark section on a storefront looks worse than no lights at all, so we come back quickly when something needs attention.
Do you store the lights for us after the season?
Yes. Takedown and storage are included, so your staff never deal with boxes of lights in a back room.
How is commercial pricing figured?
Linear footage and height still drive the price, plus the complexity of the building and any extras such as window frames, columns or signs. Send us the address and we will quote it.
How much does commercial Christmas light installation cost in Stockbridge?
Commercial jobs are quoted by linear foot as well, within the same $8 to $15 range, adjusted for building height and detail. Window frames, columns and signs are priced as add-ons.
Can you light up a restaurant for the holidays?
Yes. Restaurants are a good fit because the exterior is part of the experience. We can install after close or before opening.
Do you work with property managers and landlords?
Yes. We can send a written quote, proof of insurance and a schedule that you can pass along to the owner.
Can you install lights on a shopping center with several tenants?
Yes. We can plan the roofline and common areas as one job, then add tenant storefronts if they want to join in.
Will the lights run on a timer?
We can set lights to come on at dusk and turn off at closing. Mention it when you request your quote.
Do you give business customers a written contract?
We provide a written quote that spells out what is being lit, the price and the schedule. Ask us about anything else your company needs for approval.
Neighborhoods and HOAs
Do you work with HOA boards and property managers?
Yes. We send a written proposal your board can vote on and keep one contact for the whole project.
What parts of a neighborhood do you light?
Entrance monuments and signs, gatehouses, clubhouses, pool houses, common trees and landscaped medians. Anything the association owns and wants lit.
Can you light individual homes in a community?
Yes. Some neighborhoods coordinate a group of homeowners for a consistent look. We can quote the common areas and the homes together or separately.
How do you handle HOA rules about lighting?
Tell us what your covenants say about colors, timing and placement and we will design to it. We would rather get it right the first time than redo it after a complaint.
Will you work around community events?
Yes. Tell us when the tree lighting or holiday party is and we will have the display finished before then.
Is one invoice possible for several properties?
Yes. We can bill the association once for the common areas and bill homeowners directly for their own houses.
How much does HOA Christmas lighting cost?
Pricing follows the same linear-foot method as everything else, $8 to $15, plus anything extra like trees or monuments. We build a proposal from your list of locations.
Can you light a neighborhood entrance sign or monument?
Yes. Entrance signs, columns, walls and the plantings around them are some of our most common community jobs.
Can you light a clubhouse or pool area?
Yes. Clubhouse rooflines, porches and surrounding trees all work well, and we can plan the install around events.
How early should an HOA book?
As early as you can, ideally before your board votes. Send us the list of locations and we will have a written proposal ready.
Do you take down the lights after the holidays for HOAs?
Yes. Takedown and storage are included, so you do not need volunteers or a maintenance crew to pull them down.
Can individual homeowners in the community join in?
Yes. We can quote homeowners for their own houses in the same style, and invoice them directly.
Cost and payment
Why is there a range instead of one price?
Because no two roofs are alike. A low, simple ranch is quick. A tall, steep, multi-gabled house takes more time, more equipment and more care, so the per-foot rate moves up.
What is included in the per-foot price?
The lights, the installation, in-season maintenance, takedown and off-season storage. There is no separate fee for the lights themselves.
How do you measure my roofline?
Often we can estimate from your address and a few photos. For a firm number we measure the actual edges you want lit, peak to peak, along the eaves and any dormers.
Does roof height and pitch change the price?
Yes, both do. Extra height needs bigger equipment and a steep pitch slows the work down, so those roofs sit toward the top of the range.
What costs extra beyond the roofline?
Tree wrapping, wreaths, bushes, pathway lights and ground displays are quoted on top, based on size and how many you want.
Do I pay a deposit?
We will lay out payment terms in your written quote so you know them before you say yes. Ask us if you want specifics ahead of that.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Call, text or fill out the form and you will get a price with no obligation.
Can I start small and add later?
Absolutely. Plenty of customers begin with the roofline and add trees and wreaths the following year.
How much do Christmas lights cost per foot?
Our installed price runs $8 to $15 per linear foot. That includes the lights, labor, repairs, takedown and storage.
What is the average cost to hang Christmas lights in metro Atlanta?
It varies by company and by house. In Stockbridge, our range is $8 to $15 per linear foot, with the exact figure depending on height, pitch and detail.
How much would a typical roofline cost?
Multiply your roofline length by a rate in the $8 to $15 range. A longer or more detailed roofline costs more. We will measure and confirm before you commit.
Is it cheaper to buy the lights and hang them myself?
The lights are cheaper than our service, but you also take on the ladder work, the repairs, the takedown and the storage. Many people find the full-service route worth it.
Do you charge a travel fee?
No. Your price is built on the work at your property, not on mileage.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Your written quote lists what is included and what is not, so you can see the full picture before agreeing.
Scheduling and takedown
What happens after I request a quote?
We look at your address and photos, work out the footage, and get back to you with a price and a few open dates.
When do you install?
Installs run through the fall and finish ahead of Thanksgiving for most homes. Tell us the date you want lit and we will work backward from it.
Do I have to do anything before you arrive?
Make sure we can reach the outlet you want to use and that gates are unlocked. If you have pets, keep them inside while we work.
What if it rains on install day?
We reschedule. Working on a wet roof is not safe, so we move to the next dry day and let you know.
When are the lights taken down?
In early January, once the holidays are over. If you want them down sooner or later, tell us and we will plan around it.
Where do the lights go after takedown?
They go into our storage until next season, so nothing ends up in your garage.
How long does it take to install Christmas lights?
Most homes take a single visit. Larger houses, many trees or detailed layouts take longer, and we will tell you ahead of time.
Do you need me to be home during installation?
Usually not. We need exterior access and the outlet. We will message you when we arrive and when the job is done.
How do I schedule takedown?
We set the date with you ahead of time. If you want it earlier or later, just tell us.
Can you light my house in time for Thanksgiving?
If you book early enough, yes. Tell us the date you want and we will confirm whether we can meet it.
What if I want to change my design after it is installed?
Call us. Small adjustments are usually simple, and larger changes can be quoted separately.
Will you clean up after installation?
Yes. We leave the property tidy when we finish.
